Haug, Director of the Stuttgart Region Economic Development
Corporation (WRS).
Born in 1966, he has a university degree in information
technology and a research scholarship to the Institute of
International Media Communication in San Francisco. Since
1996 he has been director for the Stuttgart Region Economic
Development Corporation (WRS). For the WRS he is responsible
for innovation policy and for international affairs.
His
track record includes work projects for various companies
and the promotion of several regional, national and European
initiatives.
Amongst others the European projects SPRING, SCIFI and BELCar,
the federal telematics project MOBILIST or the Regional
Competence Centre Program REKIZ.
Veit
Haug has been engaged in various initiatives like the European
Hydrogen and Fuelcell Platform or the European ELITE group.
He served as an expert for European regions like Barcelona
and Valencia as well as
for the European Commission, e.g in the programme committee
for the European Forum for Innovative Enterprises 2004.
Since
the year of 2000 he teaches Mediatechnology and -management
at the University of Tuebingen and since 2003 he has been
Managing Director of the Stuttgart Region Business Angel
Network.
