Friday 18th January 2008: Platform for Agreements meeting: “Towards competence unification”.
Fondation Sophia Antipolis has organised this event to bring together all its partners to coordinate and mutualise its efforts.

Attending partners include: The University of Bauman (Russia), Information Technology Industry Development Agency (Egypt); Torino Wireless Foundation (Italy); VDI/VDE Innovation + Technik GmbH (Germany); The Economic Office the Namur Province (Belgium); YTKO (UK), Bavarian Ministry of Science, Research and the Arts (Germany); Hellenic Technology Clusters Initiative (Greece) and Fez University (Morocco).

The aim of this meeting is to put in place a tool allowing businesses and researchers to get in contact with potential future partners, investors and various competencies aiming to develop and to make the project concrete at an international level.

Thursday 24th January 2008: Transfrontal Innovation & Cooperation.
The C.A.F.I. (Conference Association of the Franco-Italian Alps) bringing together the French departments of the Maritime Alps, Upper Alps Province, Upper Alps, Isere, Savoie and Upper Savoie, the Italian Provinces of Imperia, Cuneo, Torino and the Autonomous region of the Aoste Valley along with the General Council of the Maritime Alps invite you to a day of Transfrontal information and exchanges. Multi-frontal Innovation & Cooperation - 9am at the CICA - International Centre of Advanced Communication - 2229 route des Cretes in Sophia Antipolis.
The double objective of this day is to:
• Make a point of the innovation financing opportunities made available in the new period of the European 2007-2013 programme, with a focus on the Transfrontal Franco-Italian Alcotra Cooperation Programme.
• Put in place and accompany Franco-Italian work groups on specific themes which have emerged as priorities following the drafting of the new Alcotra Programme:

Monday 28th January 2008: Awarding of the first PACA ICT Innovation Prizes will take place at the town hall of the Marseilles region, which will distinguish innovating businesses, laboratories and universities located in the Alpes Côte d’Azur Province, involved in ICT (Information and Communication Technology). Supported by the region, these prizes are awarded by the SCS cluster and the following associations: Arcsis, BabySmart, Medmultimed, MedInSoft, SAME and Telecom Valley.

Thursday 31st January: Presentation of the ISTOK project
Fondation Sophia Antipolis has organised a get together aiming at putting Russian and European ICT (Information and Communication Technology) experts in contact with one another. This event will also be a chance to present the ISTOK.Ru (7th PCRD) project, a European project with the main objectives of mapping skills and key people from that sector, and work on a long term joint Russian-European programme in the financing of European research programmes. This meeting, open exclusively to ICT professionals will take place at 8:30am at Fondation Sophia Antipolis in the Picasso Room.

The Nice Côte d’Azur committee of advisors from the Exterior Commerce of France (CCEF) and the Nice Côte d’Azur Chamber of Commerce and Industry invite you to attend a meeting on the theme of Korea. This meeting will allow you to discover the commercial opportunities that Korea has to offer and will inform you of the multisectorial prospection mission organised by the Nice Côte d’Azur CCEF Committee, which will take place in Seoul from the 1st to the 7th June 2008.
