Innovating
projects appeal

On the 8th and 9th July 2008
at the Senate, the 10th edition of Tremplin Entreprises will allow
thirty laureates to present their innovative business to the capital
risk investor community.
This concourse co-organised
by the Senate at the ESSEC, Tremplin Entreprises will allow entrepreneurs
chosen by a committee of risk capital and business set up professionals
to meet potential investors for their enterprise.
Candidates can
enter one of the four following categories: Software –
Internet & Services – Hardware, Components and Systems
– Life and Sciences.
Innovation in the larger
sense is the main criteria for entry. The company does not need
to be created and there are no nationality or age criteria.
Why
take part in Tremplin Entreprises?
Having the opportunity
to present innovative projects to notable investors, project prize
winners increase their chances of finding the necessary funding
to start or develop their activity.
The selection will also
allow the 30 prize winners to add more credibility to their project,
having gone through a rigorous selection process by key capital
risk players. It will also allow for networking and contact tying
up, saving time by meeting all key business figures in one event.
Also, to potentially be awarded one of the decreed prizes during
Tremplin Entreprises, and to profit from assistance from event partners.
It will increase awareness of participating entities, by contact
with major media sources.
The deciding committee
comprised of capital risk/business creation professionals, will
examine the 300 files to choose 60 admissible projects. The chosen
projects will be invited to attend an inauguration at the Senate,
in which 30 prize winners will be given distinguish.
All prize winners will
be coached by Ernst & Young or KPMG in order to improve the
presentation of their project. During the event on the 8th and 9th
July 2008 at the Senate, they will present their projects to the
public, increasing their opportunities to raise the necessary funds
to start or develop their business.
Moreover, four big prizes
of €15,000 each will be awarded to the best project from each
category, they will be awarded by: INRIA Transfert for the Software
category, Paris EUROPLACE for the Internet and Services category,
OSEO for Hardware Components & Systems and INSERM INSERM Transfert
for the Life Sciences. A fifth prize, the special “Jacques
and Françoise Douce” prize of €7500 will be awarded
to one of the thirty prize winners by the Douce family jury.
