Training
at a distance
A
training programme developed under
the framework of the Telework and
Telecentres project on the e-learning
platform of the Foundation Sophia
Antipolis.
The objective is to train company
managers who wish to establish a
telework project for their employees.
Activity duration: 10 hours
MEDNET’U PROJECT : TELE-TEACHING
IN 11 MEDITERRANEAN COUNTRIES
Since the end of 2002, the Foundation
Sophia Antipolis has been involved
in the setting up of a project of
a tele-training network “MedNet’U”
whose destination is 11 euro-Mediterranean
countries : Algeria, Egypt, Jordan,
Lebanon, Morocco, Syria, Tunisia,
Turkey etc.
This programme gathers a consortium
made up of an Italian operator Nettuno,
from the Foundation Sophia Antipolis
and its partners all over the Mediterranean,
Moroccans, Algerians, Tunisians,
Egyptians and Lebanese .
MedNet’U
has three dimensions:
1.
technology with Eutelsat: this is
to facilitate the access of everyone
by using Internet by satellite.
2.
University : this is the creation
of courses, in common with all the
partners, which are aimed to be
distributed to certain universities
around the Mediterranean.
3.
professional training : the Foundation
Sophia Antipolis is in charge of
this project. It also has the responsibility
of hosting, from Sophia, a network
of creation and to distribute modules
of professional training from a
distance in collaboration with countries
around the Mediterranean.
These modules exist in 4 languages
: Italian, French, Arabic and English.
